More Finnish Startup Events: Startup Developers Gathering, BarCamp
A few days ago I wrote about the web startup community in Finland. Since then I’ve heard about a few more events for startups in Finland.
Startup developers gathering
Kai Lemmetty from Floobs is organizing a startup developers gathering on May 22. The event is aimed at developers and also to show students what startup life is about. Kai told me that he got the inspiration after talking with other Finnish startups about the difficulties in development. The idea of the event is to learn from other startups so all do not have to make the same mistakes.
This type of a developer gathering is definitely needed in Finland. There are many possibilities for entrepreneurs to meet, but networking with developers is harder. If I were setting up a startup at the moment my main concern would be getting access to good developers.

BarCamp
After OpenCoffee and Ignite another international event concept has arrived in Finland. The first BarCamp in Helsinki will be held on May 10.
