Embed Facebook Searches Anywhere
Open Facebook Search - my newest project - is developing rapidly. Since the launch a few days ago, it has received some nice coverage on blogs, the biggest being Inside Facebook and ReadWriteWeb. Today I’m very proud to announce that now on Open Facebook Search you can now embed any search results to any web page.

Is there a way to pass through the smarter search on the embed?
For instance, I can search on the openfacebooksearch page for “social media” in quotes, and it returns just those mentions of the phrase.
But when you use it in the embed, it parses it to slashes — and if you just type “social media” without the quotes, the words can appear anywhere in the status update.
Am I missing something in the syntax to assure keyword proximity?

Ike, I’ll have to look into that. Thanks for letting me know about this issue.

Ike, it seems I have a problem with character encoding that will need quite a lot of work to figure out. I’ll keep you posted as I get it fixed.

Ike,
Character encoding bugs are now squashed and using quotes in searches and embedding work, thus enabling smarter searches.
