Vailoma Is Now TripSay, Gets A Facelift

Vailoma is now TripSay

Finnish travel startup Vailoma is now called TripSay. The service itself hasn’t changed much besides new fancier web2.0 graphics, which are probably the outcome of the investment by Valve Branding in January. (Valve is one of the leading digital agencies in Finland who also contributed to the success of Jaiku.) TripSay is still a travel planning tool that helps to organize information related to to trips. The information is both aggregated from around the web and user generated.

The new name and graphics will surely help Tripsay, which is currently in private beta, in their efforts to create a successful travel service.

Twitter Ready for Main-Stream Competition?

Twitter is a great service. The microblogging platform is already the fastest media when it comes to technology and Silicon Valley related news. Twitter is proving to be more and more useful all the time.

It’s a shame Jaiku wasn’t able to keep its front runner position after being bought by Google. Jaiku is the very reason why Twitter hasn’t gotten picked up here in Finland at all, but Worldwide Twitter has close to 900k users (according to TwitDir) and has evolved to become the better service.
